It rained heavy for three days Feb. 20 to 22nd (unusually wet winter in Arizona).
Ralph and I spent our time getting unpacked, doing laundry, catching up on blog and pictures,
and resting up after our trip to Louisiana. I got the flu/cold while there and Ralph got it when we arrived back. We are back to normal now.
We went to the Grand Buffet (all you can eat Chinese for $9.99)one evening. Very good. We try to play shuffleboard every Mon.,Wed. and Fri. morning if it is not raining.
Thursday Feb.25 we drove to Canyon Lake in the Superstition Mountains. We went on the Dolly Steamboat for a 90 minute ride on the lake. Sunny warm day 22 Deg. C. We enjoyed listening to a good band in Tortillo Flats. We had lunch in the bar/resturant with saddles for seats and $$ bills on the walls.
On Friday Feb. 26th we received a surprise parcel delivered by UPS. Sherryl Couvillion sent a pecan pie and homemade pralines from Louisiana. They are delicious. Thank you again. We went to the dance at the resort's ballroom with our Minnesota neighbors Jim & Gail and Arvid & Glenda. Everyone brings their own drinks and snacks.
On the 27th we went to the Lost Dutchman's Days.We enjoyed the rodeo and fairgrounds with different bands playing. We had a good time. Sunny day.
Sunday it was raining. We watched Canada win over USA in Olympic hockey---Woh what a game!!! After the game we went with our Minnesota neighbours to the VFW(Veterans of Foreign Wars)same as the Canadian Legion. We had supper and danced to a 50's-60's western band. Alot of fun.
